We were recently contacted by one of our readers – Elicia Clewes. She had discovered a, what she thinks, is an Ivory piece beneath the floorboards of an old church.
The finder explained “ It appears to be ivory, the bent end of it is hollowed out and contains threads. It was found under the floor of an old church.”
” The church in Cheshire, is Georgian but there have been 2 previous churches on the same site. I thought the item looked like ivory, probably Victorian? Part of a musical instrument maybe?”
Can anybody help identify the artifact? Please comment below and Elicia
