So again this weekend the Metal Detecting community has been alerted to  nighthawking activity. This time in the Wiltshire area.

During the pandemic, many have been chastised by others within the hobby, for participating against the guidelines set by the British Government.

Nighthawking and other illegal activities continue to be a threat to the hobby and inevitably this instance will again be cherry picked by those standing for the hobby to become governed and possibly licensed.

On behalf of the entire British Metal Detecting community. We ask those involved in what is considered nighthawking to refrain from these activities, if the hobby is to continue in its current guise throughout the British Isles.

Think about the consequences to yourself and others.
