In light of the current sanctions and advice given by the British government, and seeing on social media the amount of organised Metal Detecting rallies still planned and advertised in the UK, we would like to take the opportunity to ask all organisers and participants to reconsider their involvement.
To reiterate the National Council for Metal Detectings own statement, we remind you that the government advice is given to help stop the spread of coronaviru. It is vitally important to avoid unnecessary interaction with others.
Some rallies and organised digs have, as a result, been cancelled. Some sadly haven’t. We strongly urge you to look after your health, and the health of others, by avoiding large groups of people.
However, if you have permissions, getting out on your own or with your detecting partner is currently positively encouraged. We are sure the exercise, fresh air, natural light and therapy will help immensely in the current environment.
To all readers. We hope you are well and remain so. There’s a lot of content on our website and things to read throughout our social media pages. We will also endeavour to add additional content to our podcast and Archmdmag.TV channels.
Stay safe everyone.
