A fortified house linked to an ancient Flintshire prince is being excavated to learn more about the site’s important historic role.

Parts of Llys Edwin, a home dating back to the 11th century, are being analysed by archaeologists aiming to raise wider awareness of the importance the site holds to the history of North-East Wales
